Balloon Animals - The Test. Are you a Wussy or a Natural!

DO THIS AND YOU CAN DO ANYTHING
(with balloons)

Put the balloon on the end of the pump
Hold the balloon with finger and thumb
Curl the other fingers round the top of the pump
The other hand PUMPS - right in and out!
Inflate the balloon but leave a 10cm wiggly bit
Take the balloon off and let a little air escape
Tie a knot (I figured this isn't really TIP No 3 - even for you!)

TIP No 1
TIP No 2

TIP No 1 - this is the spare bit where the air squeezes into when you bend the balloon. Without the wiggly bit it will just EXPLODE and hurt your ears.
TIP No 2 - this makes the balloon softer. When you first blow it up it's quite tight and could easily BURST and frighten you when you start twisting.

Hold KNOT END and point the wiggly bit sideways
Put the other hand on the balloon about 10cms away
With both hands BEND the balloon right over
Now hold in one hand only and SQUEEZE. Squeeze it properly. GO ON!
With the other hand hold the top of the bend and TWIST it three or four times. STOP PULLING FACES!

Click the DEMO to see how it's done. You've made the head and ears of an animal. You may have to turn the ears round a little bit to look right.

Leave a bit for the neck - and do it again. BEND, SQUEEZE, TWIST. You've made the neck and the front legs.

Leave a bit for the body and do EXACTLY THE SAME AGAIN. That's the back legs and tail.

You may need to move the bubbles about so the legs are underneath and the head is facing forward.

TIP No 3 BUY NOW

Don't DARE criticise it. Maybe the legs aren't the same length. Maybe you didn't have enough left for the tail. I'm not there to encourage you. It may not be perfect. ARE YOU? I said ARE YOU?

Wussies will be tired now. Maybe crying a little. They'll want to give up and watch television. The thumb will be near the mouth. STOP SNIVELLING
